Duke - bespoke artwork of a Great Dane

Meet Duke - a beautiful Great Dane owned and loved by Hayley Banfield in South Wales. Hayley's partner, Craig, contacted me to commission artwork of Duke as a surprise gift for Hayley.

I was provided with numerous photographs that allowed me to establish an accurate feeling for his personality, colourations, and the way he holds himself, leading to a piece that reflected Duke's character.

He was a joy to depict in a piece of artwork, his powerful size and noble yet gentle gaze is something that I really wanted to capture with in his portrait. This commissioned piece of artwork was created on a large scale which allowed me to capture a great amount of detail and character, with the overall impact of the mounted and framed piece offering the wow factor required.
